Hope North

Hope North Uganda is a non-governmental organization founded in 1998 as a response to the plight of young victims of the war in northern Uganda. Hope North works to educate and provide opportunity to some of Uganda’s most vulnerable and marginalized individuals: former child soldiers, orphans, and young people otherwise directly affected by Uganda’s civil wars. Originally founded out of urgency as a place of refuge, Hope North has grown into an organization operating a broad range of social programs including a secondary school, income generating activities, vocational training projects and community health projects.
