We are thrilled to share the success of our recent 2024 Faces of Hope Gala, an inspiring evening in New York City that celebrated 12 years of WPDI’s work building peace and empowering communities affected by conflict.
Hosted by Forest Whitaker, with a special message from Whoopi Goldberg, the event underscored WPDI’s mission through powerful stories from our Youth Peacemakers and a Fireside Chat with Forest and WPDI Executive Director Caroline Descombris. The night was filled with unforgettable moments, from a heartfelt speech by United Nations Deputy Secretary-General Amina J. Mohammed to a captivating performance by YG Marley. These highlights showcased the profound impact we are making together as a united community.
We thank our incredible supporters and allies who made this celebration possible. Their dedication and belief in WPDI’s mission propel us toward a future where youth become peacebuilders and compassion is common.
