With 2016 almost half gone, WPDI's youth peacemakers have had a busy start to the year. In South Sudan, a new group of 180 youth leaders are being engaged and trained, while WPDI's five Community Learning Centers provide daily literacy and ICT classes for hundreds more. We have also opened our first Community Learning Center in Northern Uganda and are in the midst of an expansion of our Conflict Resolution Education program, with launches of six income-generating community-building projects in that region expected in the coming months. Youth leaders in Chiapas, Mexico are nearing completion of their year-long training, while in Tijuana, our peacemakers' commitment to their community initiatives continues. And in the United States, a new conflict resolution curriculum has been finalized and will pilot in an Los Angeles-area middle school in August.

We invite you to read our latest newsletter for full updates on all of WPDI's programs, on Forest Whitaker's recent advocacy work, and on several of our promising new partnerships.
